Sesinando “Jun” Milla, a 1989 Electrical Engineering graduate of Mapúa Institute of Technology, rose from humble beginnings in Laguna to become a respected leader in the energy sector. Currently Vice President and Head of Operations at Meralco Energy Inc. (MServ) and Technical Manager for MIESCOR’s Terra Solar Project, he has built a career defined by resilience, hard work, and technical excellence. From selling handmade toys in his youth to supporting his siblings’ education after college, Jun’s journey reflects both resourcefulness and dedication. His career began at Meralco, where he trained as a Cadet Engineer and gained expertise in power system testing, commissioning, and design.
In 2003, Jun expanded his horizons internationally, joining Alstom and later taking leadership roles in multinational companies across Asia and Europe, handling large-scale projects in oil, gas, and power. His expertise in SCADA, ICSS, PMS, and telecommunications earned him recognition in managing billion-dollar ventures, including FPSO and offshore systems. Alongside his career, he pursued higher education, earning a Master’s in Electrical Engineering (Magna Cum Laude) from Mapúa and a Master’s in International Management for Oil and Gas from the University of Liverpool. A mentor, speaker, and technical contributor, Jun remains dedicated to guiding young engineers, proving himself not only as a global expert but also as an educator and role model in the field of electrical engineering.
