A founding member of the IIEE Metro East Chapter and Former President of CORE Powerlink System Inc., he has worked both locally and internationally, including as a consultant engineer for the Royal families of Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, leaving a legacy of excellence and leadership in the profession.

His Story

Engr. Manuel V. Panis began his academic journey at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology before completing his degree in Electrical Engineering at the Mapúa Institute of Technology in 1974. He earned his Assistant Electrical Engineer License in 1975 and achieved his Professional Electrical Engineer License in 1978 at just 26 years old, later gaining international recognition as a licensed engineer abroad. His professional path started humbly as an electrician and draftsman, eventually leading him overseas as a Consultant Design Engineer for the Royal families of Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. After years of international work, he returned to the Philippines, where he has since devoted over 50 years to engineering practice in detailed design, construction management, and major government infrastructure projects. A founding member of the IIEE Metro Manila Region–Metro East Chapter, where he now serves as Adviser, he also leads as President and Managing Director of CORE Powerlink System Inc., leaving a legacy of technical excellence, integrity, and mentorship for future engineers.

Achievements

  • Initial Licenses: Acquired his Assistant Electrical Engineer License (AEE) in 1975.
  • Professional License: Acquired his Professional Electrical Engineer License (PEE) in 1978, fulfilling a childhood dream by age 26.
  • International Recognition: Was registered as a Licensed Electrical Engineer (low and high voltage) in a foreign country, expanding his expertise abroad.
  • International Consulting: Worked as a Consultant Design Engineer for the Royal families of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the State of Bahrain.
