Engr. Karl Ildefonse M. Silva Rises to Top 9 in August 2024 Electrical Engineering Board Exams

apúa University proudly celebrates the success of Engr. Karl Ildefonse M. Silva, who secured 9th place in the August 2024 Registered Electrical Engineer (REE) Licensure Examination with an outstanding rating of 90.90%. This achievement adds another milestone to Mapúa University’s proud legacy of producing board topnotchers in the field of Electrical Engineering. Engr. Silva’s national recognition not only reflects his dedication and perseverance but also underscores the continued strength of Mapúa’s flagship Electrical Engineering program.

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) released the official results shortly after the examinations, where thousands of aspiring electrical engineers vied for licensure. Among them, Engr. Silva’s performance stood out, earning him a coveted spot in the Top 10 and bringing immense pride to the entire Mapúan community.

Strong Results for Mapúa University

Beyond Engr. Silva’s personal triumph, Mapúa also showcased impressive institutional results in the August 2024 board examinations:

REE Licensure Exam (REELE): Mapúa posted an overall passing rate of 78.57%, significantly higher than the national passing rate of 54.12%. First-time takers achieved an even stronger performance with an 86.36% passing rate.
RME Licensure Exam (RMELE): Mapúa achieved a 100% passing rate, surpassing the national average of 40.17%.

Engr. Silva’s success reflects not only individual hard work but also the quality of education and preparation provided by Mapúa University. His achievement serves as an inspiration to current and future students who aim to follow in the footsteps of Mapúa’s long line of board exam topnotchers.
